FIELAX developed a software tool called “ADCP-to-DSHIP” that continuously acquires data from a ship-board RDI ADCP and calculates average values to be sended over e. g. to a data acquisition system.
The software has been installed on RV “Polarstern” on behalf of Reederei F. Laeisz GmbH. It acquires binary ENX data from an RDI OceanSurveyor ADCP from VMDAS via network and outputs NMEA-like average values to the connected ship’s central data acquisition system WERUM DSHIP.
