Elephant and weddell seals in Antarctica have been equipped with satellite transponders for researching their travel and eat behaviour. During such a campaign our client from Alfred-Wegener-Institut Helmholtz-Zentrum für Polar- und Meeresforschung was in the polar regions for several months to equip marine mammals. Meanwhile we continuously retrieved navigation data from those transponders, post-processed data and informed our client in field about the recent state. Read more
Get digital! In the "DigiT" project funded by the 'Europäischer Fonds für regionale Entwicklung' FIELAX and the geo-workgroup from University Bremen developed a method to digitally acquire temperature data from marine sediments. Read more

FIELAX developed a software tool called "ADCP-to-DSHIP" that continuously acquires data from a ship-board RDI ADCP and calculates average values to be sended over e. g. to a data acquisition system.The software has been installed on RV "Polarstern" on behalf of Reederei F. Laeisz GmbH. Read more
